Foster Care provides services to local foster care children and surrounding counties. This includes but not limited to Christmas and birthday gifts, necessity care packages to foster families, and support to DFAC and foster families. This year we have partnered with Families 4 Families, a Christian based foster organization. We have supported them through birthday gifts for foster children, providing necessary items such as diapers and wipes and will host a date night in April for the Foster parents.

The ladies in the Foster Care Community selflessly give their time to support foster families, and children in group homes. We look forward to continuing to build these relationships with these children, families, and organizations.

How We Help

Plan, implement and attend bi-monthly social and educational activities for children placed in Foster Care in Bulloch County.

Provide opportunities for children placed in Foster Care to socialize and interact with other children in the same situation.

Provide those individuals serving as Bulloch County Foster Parents with respite childcare as well as the the knowledge and assurance that they are being supported by the community in which they serve.

Accomplishments

The Foster Care Committee put in many hours of planning and hard work to provide the children in Bulloch County Foster Care some fun evenings while the foster parents attended mandatory training. Both the foster children and foster families also enjoyed two special events this year – our annual Christmas Party and Appreciation Picnic. Thanks again to the hard work and dedication of this committee.
