This is a new League committee that was launch in the fall of 2022. The committee has partnered with Ogeechee Riverkeeper to adopt the Rocky Ford boat landing where we do monthly litter clean-ups. We also work with the Keep Statesboro Bulloch Beautiful board to provide volunteers at local sustainability events such as ‘Bring One for the Chipper’ Christmas Tree recycling program, GreenFest and Arbor Day Celebration, and Earth Day. The committee has even hosted several green-living and sustainability-minded activities at monthly membership meetings including the ‘Grateful for Green’ litter clean-up pledge during the month of November and the ‘Repurpose Gift Market’ shopping exchange during the month of December.
