This is a newer League committee that was launched in the fall of 2022. This year, the committee has partnered with Keep Statesboro-Bulloch Beautiful and the Ogeechee Riverkeepers to participate in the “Don’t Litter Lotts” Creek clean-ups. Members also work with the Kennedy Pond Conservancy to promote healthy wetlands and environmental education through their cleanup days and EdVenture Workshops. This fall, they volunteered at RecycleFest, and look forward to helping with Earth Day celebrations in the spring. The committee has even hosted several green-living and sustainability-minded activities at monthly membership meetings including a recycling initiative and the ‘Repurposed Gift Market’ during the month of December.
